Professor Anindya Sinha is the Dean of Academic affairs, National Institute of Advanced Sciences (NIAS), Bangalore. Dr Sinha’s wide-ranging research interests are in the areas of behavioural ecology and cognitive psychology of primates, animal molecular genetics, evolutionary biology, conservation biology and the philosophy of biology. He is responsible for the discovery of a new species of primate, the Arunachal Macaque Macaca munzala, in Northeastern India.
