M. Jayshankar completed his PhD from the Department of Zoology, Bangalore University, during 2008-2011 entitled ‘Studies on ecology, distribution and behavior of the Giant African Snail Achatina fulica (Bowdich) in and around Bangalore’. He has an illustrious career in teaching as well as research. At present he is serving as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at Division of Entomology and Nematology in NICRA Project at Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bangalore. Jayshankar’s interest lies in Research-Behavioral ecology (Habitat and Invertebrate), Ethno-Zoology, Biodiversity and Conservation.
